Aaahh the famous Ribs, an institution in the United States!
It is possible to choose beef or pork as meat, then it is up to you to choose which sauces and rubs you want to use for coating and seasoning!
You have no ideas? We'll help you below!
Spicy and glazed ribs
To make typical ribs, with a sweet Texan aroma you will need:
- 1 kg of beef short ribs or pork spare ribs
- 1 bottle of caramelizing sauce (the selection is just below)
- 1 box of rub for seasoning (same, you can choose your favorite)
For the cooking method you can choose your barbecue or your oven.
To prevent the ribs from drying out, add a dish containing a little water to the oven during cooking, they will be even more tender!
First rub the meat and rub spices by hand until the ribs have "absorbed" them.
Then place your seasoned meat (fat side on top) in your oven for 40 minutes at thermostat 6-7 (200° C). Once the time has passed, remove the melted fat and brush your ribs with sauce and put your dish back in the oven at 180° for 40 minutes, regularly coating your meat with marinade sauce.
If you have chosen the barbecue, you will simply need to place them opposite the coals (put the coals on the side so that the meat does not dry out). Then repeat the steps above (rub-cook 30 min and coat and count 30 min while brushing regularly).
Your ribs are now ready! You can enjoy them with corn on the cob, fries or even beans to stay with the Texan theme!

Gourmet version ribs

The gourmet version is even simpler, indeed you will simply need:
- Ribs
- 1 bottle of basting sauce
Take a dish and place a sheet of aluminum foil that will be used to wrap and protect your ribs so they are nice and juicy.
Use 1/3 of the bottle to cover your ribs then close the foil and put in the oven at thermostat 6 (about 200°) for 1 hour.
Once the time has elapsed, add the remaining sauce and heat for another hour.
Once the ribs are nicely caramelized you can take them out and enjoy!

- Mango Curry to make your ribs super-delicious
