  • Heat of the cherry bomb pepper: between 1,000 and 5,000 on the Scoville scale.
  • Color of cherry bomb peppers: They are harvested when red, initially they will be green, then take several weeks to turn red.
  • The cherry bomb pepper: It's a small pepper about 2-4 cm in diameter. Its skin is hard and its flesh is firm. It's the variety of pepper used to make cheese or tuna antipasti.
  • Production: 1 cherry bomb plant can produce between 20 and 40 peppers / season.
  • Final size of the plant in a 30 cm diameter pot: between 30 cm and 50 cm high
  • Final size of the plant in open ground: about 70 cm.
  • Growth temperature of the Cherry Bomb plant: 23°C
  • Soil type: for planting, the ideal is a soil composed of black and blonde peat, if possible 50% of each, no heather soil or universal potting soil as it's too acidic for the pepper plant. You can add a little sand to the mixture to aerate it slightly.
  • Harvest date: between June and October.
  • Watering: Moderate watering, without flooding the plant, creating a slight water stress for the plant.
  • Fertilizer: During the growing and flowering period, we recommend the use of fertilizer. We offer a special pepper fertilizer that contains all the nutrients necessary for the proper growth of pepper plants.
  • Origin of the plant: All our plants come from Alsace, they are grown exclusively for us by a local market gardener, located a few km from our offices.
  • Shipping: The plants are individually packaged in a box specially designed to facilitate transport. The soil is held in the pot by 2 adhesive strips located on each side of the plant, preventing the plant's roots from being exposed to air. Delivery is only done by colissimo to minimize the duration of transport and plant stress. The plants are watered just before shipment.
  • In case of a problem: If despite all our attention, the plant arrives broken, it will be replaced or refunded if the stock is insufficient.

If like us you love cheese or tuna antipasti, this is the pepper plant you need. Once the harvest is done (from June), you just need to blanch the peppers for 5 minutes, stuff them with goat cheese and place them in olive oil. The cherry bomb plant is perfectly suited for indoor cultivation as it's not too big.
