The Blair's story
It all started for Blair's in a New Jersey bar as a server. He was 19 years old at the time, and every night he found himself with a few stubborn customers and didn't know how to get them out. Passionate about spicy cuisine, he created a sauce to accompany the chicken wings he served in the restaurant. The deal! The customer who managed to finish the chicken wings with his sauce could stay beyond 2:00 AM (a reference to the 2 AM and 3 AM sauces he created a few years later…)
Very quickly, customers got into the game, and his sauce became known for its incredible heat. That same year he went to the Fiery Food Show in Albuquerque to present his sauces with only 48 bottles. Sold in just a few minutes, the Blair's brand was born!
Today Blair's has built a very nice range of hot sauces called DEATH SAUCE. The emphasis is on quality and the strength of the recipes, with Ultra Death Sauce having become a reference for extreme enthusiasts. He also appears in the Guinness Book of Records for the 16 Million Reserve, pure capsaicin that he created in limited edition. The bottles today are worth more than $4,000 and are very hard to find.
