Spring rolls originate from Asian countries and the recipes change depending on each country and region.
Dumplings, spring rolls, gyozas, have existed for thousands of years, the diversity of these recipes is finally starting to come to Europe! We therefore offer you hot sauces to accompany these delicate dishes.
The basic spring roll recipe
Please note, as mentioned previously, there are many spring roll recipes, you can replace the pork with vegetables, crab, chicken, etc.
We offer below a typical recipe that we regularly consume with our hot sauces because the mix of spicy sweetness and spring rolls is a marriage that no longer needs to prove itself!
-
- Vietnamese rice paper
-
- 250g of ground pork
-
- 1 carrot
-
- 5-10 Chinese white mushrooms
-
- 1 handful of bean sprouts
-
- 1 onion
-
- 1 handful of rice vermicelli
-
- 1 clove of garlic
-
- pepper
-
- soy sauce or fish sauce
Prepare your vermicelli following the package instructions (it's better).
Mix the pork, bean sprouts, garlic, onion, mushrooms, vermicelli, carrot and eggs. Season with pepper and a soy sauce of your choice.
Take your previously moistened rice papers, then place a tablespoon of filling on one edge and roll the paper. It is important to make sure not to roll the spring roll too tightly or it will burst during cooking.
The last and not least important step is to fry your rolls until they are golden brown.
And there you have it, all that's left is to enjoy your creations accompanied by your favorite hot sauce (we'll help you choose just below)!
