Whole chicken with flavors from elsewhere
In winter we need warmth. That's why we present an ultra-simple recipe from Jamaica that combines Jerk spices and chicken.
Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken
- 1 jar of Walkerswood Mild marinade for those who want to flavor their chicken, or the Hot version to spice it up
- A little oil or butter to oil the oven dish
Start by cutting the chicken in half (easier to marinate it in the fridge), brush it with Walkerswood marinade then let it marinate for at least 1 hour (the longer you marinate the better it is).
Preheat your oven to 180°.
When the marinating time is over, take your dish, butter it (or oil it according to your preferences), place your brushed chicken in it and bake for 45 minutes (chicken to be monitored as each oven can be different).
Then enjoy!
P.S.: You can of course add vegetables such as carrots, celery, potatoes, onion at the same time as the chicken in the dish and let it cook, they will be all tender!
