• Strength of the Carolina Reaper pepper: between 1.4 and 2.5 million on the Scoville scale. For a more powerful pepper, let it ripen longer on the plant.
• Color of Carolina Reaper peppers: It is harvested yellow, initially it will be green, then will take several weeks to turn yellow.
• The Carolina Reaper pepper: It is easily recognizable, with its small tail and wrinkled skin. It is generally relatively small (between 3 and 6 cm in diameter). It's an extreme pepper, but very fragrant, with notes of orange peel, and in the yellow version, some even manage to detect a slight sweetness. Its strength develops in the mouth after a few seconds, then develops for a long time over several minutes (about 20!). It's an extreme pepper to handle with caution. The use of gloves when harvesting is strongly advised.
• Production: 1 Carolina Reaper plant can produce between 20 and 60 peppers per season.

• Soil type: for planting, the ideal is a soil composed of black and blonde peat, if possible 50% of each, no heather soil or universal potting soil as it's too acidic for the pepper plant. You can add a little sand to the mixture to aerate it slightly.
• Harvest date: between September and November.
• Watering: Moderate watering, without flooding the plant, creating a slight water stress for the plant.
• Fertilizer: During the growing and flowering period, we recommend the use of fertilizer. We offer a special pepper fertilizer that contains all the necessary nutrients for the proper growth of pepper plants.
• Origin of the plant: All our plants come from Alsace, they are grown exclusively for us by a local market gardener, located a few km from our offices.
• Shipping: The plants are individually packed in a box specially designed for easy transport. The soil is held in the pot by 2 adhesive strips located on each side of the plant, preventing the plant's roots from being exposed to air. Delivery is only made by Colissimo to minimize the duration of transport and stress on the plant. The plants are watered just before shipping.
• In case of problems: If, despite all our attention, the plant arrives broken, it will be replaced or refunded if the stock is insufficient to replace it.
