Yamasa Soy Sauce: the excellence of Japanese craftsmanship

Crafted in Japan using a method of natural fermentation, it offers a perfect balance of saltiness, umami and aromatic finesse. Its amber color and round flavor make it a versatile sauce, appreciated by chefs and Asian cuisine enthusiasts alike.

Made from soybeans, wheat, water and salt, Yamasa soy sauce contains no artificial colorings or flavor enhancers. Its traditional fermentation process develops complex aromas that enhance both Japanese dishes and everyday recipes.

Whether you are preparing sushi, maki, a bowl of ramen, stir-fried noodles or a marinade for meat or fish, Yamasa soy sauce brings an authentic and refined depth of flavor.

Tasting notes

Yamasa soy sauce reveals a delicate fragrance with notes of toasted grains and natural fermentation. On the palate, it captivates with a gentle attack, followed by a beautiful richness in umami and perfectly controlled saltiness. Its finish is long, balanced and slightly sweet, without excessive bitterness.

Its fluid texture allows it to coat foods elegantly without masking their flavors. It is an ideal sauce to accompany both traditional Japanese preparations and fusion cuisines.

How to use soy sauce?

Yamasa soy sauce is an extremely versatile condiment.

It can be used to:

  • accompanying sushi, maki, sashimi and gyoza;

  • seasoning poké bowls, rice, noodles and stir-fried vegetables;

  • preparing marinades for chicken, beef, pork or fish;

  • enhancing a ramen, udon or soba broth;

  • flavoring a vinaigrette or salad dressing;

  • deglazing a wok or frying pan to add a touch of umami;

Just a few drops are enough to intensify the flavors while preserving the balance of the dish.
