Made from a flavorful blend of soy sauce, garlic, pear, onion, and spices, this marinade delivers a perfectly balanced sweet-and-savory touch that elevates beef and many other ingredients.
What is bulgogi?
Bulgogi (불고기), which literally means "meat over fire", is one of the most popular dishes in Korea. Traditionally, thin strips of beef are marinated for several hours in a sauce rich in soy sauce, garlic, sugar, fruit, and sesame oil before being grilled on a barbecue or seared in a pan.
Loved for its tender meat and delicately caramelized taste, bulgogi is often served with rice, kimchi, vegetables, or enjoyed wrapped in lettuce leaves. Thanks to the O'Food Bulgogi marinade, it is now very easy to recreate the authentic flavors of Korean barbecue at home.
Tasting Notes
The O'Food Bulgogi marinade wins you over with its balance of sweetness and umami. The rich notes of soy sauce are softened by pear and onion, while garlic adds a wonderful aromatic intensity. During cooking, the sauce caramelizes gently to deliver tender, juicy, and slightly glossy meat.
Its flavor profile is both rich, fragrant, and approachable, making it an excellent introduction to Korean cuisine. It pairs perfectly with beef but also goes well with pork, chicken, tofu, or grilled vegetables.
