Barbecue sauce recipe

- 47 cl of meat broth (beef, poultry, pork)
- 900 g of Bacon
- 20 g of minced onions
- 12 cl of hot sauce
- 12 cl of honey
- 20 g of roasted and minced pecans
- 5 tablespoons of orange juice
- 1/2 orange cut into pieces with the peel
- 1/4 lemon cut into pieces with the peel
- 10 g of butter
- 6 ml of lemon juice
- 4 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon of Tabasco
- 1/2 onion blended into powder
- 1 garlic clove blended into powder
- Salt
- White and black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
Preparing the barbecue sauce
In a bowl, mix the peppers, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper. Set aside. Cook the bacon and let it cool. Sauté the minced onions in the bacon fat until golden. Add the spice mixture prepared above and mix. In a saucepan, add the broth, hot sauce, honey, pecans, orange juice, bacon, garlic, Tabasco, lemon, and orange pieces, let it reduce and mix. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes. Remove the orange and lemon pieces and continue cooking for 15 minutes. Add the butter and mix. Let it cool, then blend everything. And there you have a Cajun sauce ready to be enjoyed.
