The quantities should be adjusted according to the amount you desire.
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 minced sweet onions
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 green bell pepper cut into very small dice
- 200 g of tomato paste
- 4 tablespoons of honey
- 1 glass of red wine
- 50 cl of chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons of hot sauce (the hotter the sauce, the spicier the barbecue sauce will be)
- 1 tablespoon of mustard
- 1 tablespoon of sherry vinegar
- 6 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Recipe:
Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large sauté pan.
Sauté the onions, garlic, and bell peppers for 5 minutes.
Add the rest of the ingredients and stir.
Season with salt and pepper and simmer for 45 minutes.
Let it cool and refrigerate until use. Freeze half of the sauce if necessary.
