Isn't this little pepper dressed up as a ghost just adorable?
Tasting notes
The recipe for this sauce draws its inspiration directly from the famous passion fruit-orange-guava juice widely consumed on the Hawaiian islands. Coming straight from Oahu, the P.O.G brand aims to transport your palate among the fruity flavors of their paradise islands.
We particularly loved its original flavor combining blue agave with orange, passion fruit, and pineapple with Jolokia pepper. As if you were biting into a juicy, sweet fruit and then into a fiery hot pepper — the contrast is striking and addictive!

Sauce heat level
Measured at 110,000 on the Scoville scale in the Hot Ones season 28 episode, it is placed in 7th position in the tasting order. It brought the heat to quite a few guests on the set, who also appreciated its tropical flavors.
Channing Tatum was particularly intrigued by this sauce (see photo above).
How to use hot sauce?
Terribly effective in your poke bowls (rice base, on top of sliced avocado, salmon, edamame, radishes, cucumber), on grilled chicken, on your steamed fish (Laulau: a typical Hawaiian dish), your coconut milk curries, with your fried foods such as samosas and shrimp fritters.
The brand
P.O.G Hawaian was created by a couple who lived in San Diego, California. During a trip, they completely fell in love with the Hawaiian islands, so much so that they decided to change their lives and move there! Their love for pepper had been present for a long time, and when they moved to Hawaii they were able to take advantage of the delicious fruits available to them to craft exceptional sauces.
A tagline: A burning passion for pepper and a deep admiration for Hawaii — that's how this sauce was born!
