Raspberry and chili pepper; original you say? Delectable we say!
Raspberry not Mama's Chamoy sauce High Desert
"Chamoy" is a word that comes straight from Mexico, it refers to a group of salty sauces made from marinated fruits combined with chili.
This sauce is then used for dipping fruits (yes, even sweet fruits are enjoyed with chili in Mexico), as an addition to saucy dishes (like tagine), on fajitas, in stir-fried vegetables.
And to do as they do in the USA, you can drizzle it on your peanut butter sandwich, your pulled pork, on your pancakes and even on your ice cream (it may seem strange but it's very common in America!)
The High Desert brand has made a nice nod to Mexico by creating its own chamoy sauce that contains raspberries and the extreme Douglah 7 pot pepper as a base.
To temper the heat and add some indulgence, High Desert has added honey.
And finally, salt and a touch of orange zest to complete the flavors that will make your taste buds tingle as the sauce is: smooth, spicy, fruity, sweet and mouthwatering!
