The creator of High Desert hot sauces is an unconditional taco fan, when he was very young he devoured his first one and it was a revelation!
So he wanted to create (once grown up) a sauce with healthy ingredients that recreates the flavors of his childhood. The versatility of the hot sauce means you can use it for tacos as well as sandwiches, salads, burgers, cheese/charcuterie boards, chili, burritos, bolognese, and any savory dish you want!
This "Ghost of saffron" sauce is terribly tasty, the fire-roasted tomatoes add umami (make flavorful) to the recipe, the carrots bring texture while softening the heat of the Scotch Bonnet and Jolokia peppers.
The garlic is there for its roundness in the mouth that pairs ideally with spices such as cumin and Mexican oregano that will take your taste buds on a journey!
The final note features saffron which brilliantly brings out the flavors of the food.
