Marie Sharp was born in Belize, a very small country located in Central America on the Caribbean coast. She married a farmer whose parents owned 16,000 acres of farmland. Marie made it a habit to spend her free time there and cultivate all kinds of vegetables.
The story of Marie Sharp's
In 1980, a doctor from her village used Habanero peppers to create sauces but he was having difficulty sourcing them. She decided to grow these peppers on her farm to supply him. But her production far exceeded the doctor's needs. To avoid wasting all her production, Marie Sharp created her first several Habanero pepper-based sauces for the first time and had her friends taste them. They loved her creations and the one that caught their attention was the carrot one. From that point on, she decided to commercialize her sauces with the support of her friends. She made the first bottles in her kitchen after her workdays with help from her family and friends.
